Guidance and application results
SASSA Status Check publishes grant guidance and provides an interface for retrieving SRD application results. Guidance is explanatory. SASSA and the relevant appeal authority determine applications, payments and appeals; the website does not make those decisions.
No guaranteed outcome
Using the checker, reading an article or following a guide does not guarantee approval, a successful appeal or payment. The checker can display only what the service returns. An approved month without a payday should not be treated as a promise that money has already reached an account.
Dates and older documents
Check the period attached to a status result. A schedule for another grant or another month is not proof of your SRD payday. Some linked explanatory documents are historical; their terminology or instructions may need to be checked against the current official service.
Checking important information
Before submitting an appeal, changing application information or acting on a payment issue, use the appropriate official SASSA or DSD route linked from our guide. If a published statement appears inconsistent with an official current instruction, report the discrepancy through our Contact page.
Service availability and advertising
The lookup service and external sites may be unavailable or return incomplete information. If advertising appears on the website, it is separate from grant application decisions. An advertisement is not an official payment instruction or an endorsement of a provider.
Personal information
Never enter a bank PIN or OTP into the status form. Use only details you are authorised to submit, and protect results displayed on a shared device. Read the Privacy Policy for information about processing through the hosting and lookup providers.
